"Dakota Medical Foundation’s Giving Hearts Day is a 24-hour online fundraising event. All of the money raised on Giving Hearts Day goes directly to the participating nonprofits and charitable funds. Dakota Medical Foundation matches donor contributions of $10 or more made through this website to Giving Hearts Day participants. In 2009, 3,350 individual donations were made on Giving Hearts Day which totaled more than $701,000. In addition, Dakota Medical Foundation provided $285,000 in match and incenting funding to the participating nonprofits and funds."
