Sessions at Classic Photography are laid-back, fun and most of all, focused on you or your child. I don’t aim for a lot of posing. Instead, I let kids be themselves, whether they are shy or outgoing. I love to see them play and interact with each other, you and me as if they were at home. This playful, relaxed environment allows me to provide you with photos that truly capture them and the stage they are in.
The clothing you choose for your session is up to you, but my philosophy is that the clothes are not as important as the person. I continue to focus on showcasing you or your child and believe it doesn’t matter if your clothes are brand-new or hand-me-downs. Either way, the focus of the picture is on you. I want to make sessions easy for you and your children, so the time you are here is very flexible. We can take time when needed to change outfits, have a snack or just take a break.
Classic Photography is not only a great place for children’s portraits, but for senior and business portraits as well. Locations for senior pictures are unique and the options are limitless. When outdoors, we walk around and find spots together that we are drawn to or we can visit places that are special to you. During these sessions, my philosophy remains the same in that I aim to capture your true personality in a natural environment.
My goal is to make each session unique. I have a variety of walls of different colors and textures along with various colors of backdrops in the studio. I have also recently expanded into a beautiful new space called the Lightroom. It is infused with natural light and the beautiful wood floors and white walls help to create a completely natural space, totally neutral, yet warm. I also love shooting on location if you have a place in mind or we can brainstorm together.
Overall, I hope to make your session an experience that is easy and enjoyable. I believe in capturing natural, un-posed beauty for you to have as timeless keepsakes.
